Coaches Clinics Register Below It is required that all FSA head coaches to obtain a USSF G and/or F coaching license within the first 12 months of becoming a head coach. USSF soccer coaching licenses are an important tool in raising the quality and level of the player experience in a recreational league like the FSA. Licensed coaches become unified evangelists of the game, its rules and expectations of behavior for coaches, players and spectators. Licensing lowers the amount of frustration felt by coaches, players and parents who may have no previous or practical experience with the game.
G License Mandatory for U5 - U8 Head Coaches Course Hours: 4 hours (2 hours classroom - 2 hours on the field) Prerequisite: None Age Requirements: Must be 15 at time of course Fee: None
Course Overview: This course teaches new soccer coaches to address the needs of the U5 - U8 youth soccer player. Course content includes information on child development and its relevance to what can be expected of young soccer players, philosophy of coaching and teaching the game to young children, simple care and prevention of athletic injuries, review of the "Laws of the Game" as they relate to the modified small sided soccer (4v4), important consideration is given to presenting a "games & activities" approach to coaching and teaching soccer.
F License Course Hours: 8 hours classroom and field session Prerequisite: None Age Requirements: Must be 16 at time of course Course Fee: Free to FSA coaches, $40 for Non FSA coaches (Fee is due first day of clinic, checks payable to Frisco Soccer)
Course Overview: This course teaches novice soccer coaches to address the needs of the U9 - U10 youth soccer player. Course content includes an overview of the philosophy and best practices of recreational soccer coaching. Coaches learn standards and techniques on identifying needs of recreational players, organizing and delivering of practices, Parent/Team management, teaching the fundamentals of the game (dribbline, passing, receiving, heading, shooting, goalkeeping).
E License Strongly recommended for the U11 and older Head Coaches Course Hours: 18 hours, classroom and field session Minimum Age: 16 Prerequisite: None Course Fee: $50 for all participants (Fee is due first day of clinic, checks payable to Frisco Soccer)
Course Overview: This course focuses on the methods & philosophy of coaching the complete full sided game, Care/Prevention of injuries, Parent/Team management, The complete "Laws of the Game", economical training, principles of defending and attacking, transitioning of players from small-sided game tot he full sided (11v11) game, intermediate skills: dribbling, passing, receiving, heading, shooting, additional defending aspects of goalkeeping.

Coaches clinics have classroom and field sessions. Please dress in or bring the appropriate clothing for a field session such as soccer cleats and shorts, t-shirts, size 5 soccer ball and plenty of water.
